When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. When you complete the Ikigai reflection, we collect your responses to generate your archetype and dimension scores. We also collect usage data such as pages visited and features used to improve the application. If you purchase a subscription, payment information is processed securely through Stripe and is never stored on our servers.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and improve the Ikigai experience. This includes generating your personal archetype and scores, delivering your personalized report, providing tailored readings and daily practices, and communicating important updates about your account. We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using industry standard encryption and access controls. We use secure, reputable infrastructure providers to host the application. Access to your personal data is restricted to essential personnel only. We regularly review our security practices to ensure your information remains protected.
4. Your Reflection Data
Your reflection responses, archetype, dimension scores, and daily intentions are personal to you. This data is only accessible through your authenticated account. We do not share individual reflection data with other users or third parties. Aggregated, anonymized data may be used for research and improvement of the platform.
5. Cookies and Analytics
We use essential cookies to maintain your session and keep you logged in. We may use analytics tools to understand how the application is used in aggregate. These tools do not collect personally identifiable information. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.
6. Third Party Services
We use the following third party services: Stripe for payment processing, and email delivery services for account communications. Each of these services has their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them. We only share the minimum information necessary for these services to function.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can update your account information through the Account page. To request a full export or deletion of your data, please contact us at hello@theikigaitest.com. We will respond to data requests within 30 days.
8. Data Retention
We retain your account and reflection data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention. Anonymized, aggregated data may be retained indefinitely.
9. Children's Privacy
The Ikigai application is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 16, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the 'Last updated' date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the application after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
