1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using The Ikigai Test application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the application. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time, and your continued use of the application after any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
2. Description of Service
The Ikigai Test provides a guided reflection experience based on the Japanese philosophy of Ikigai. The service includes a personal reflection quiz, archetype analysis, a personalized report, curated readings, daily practices, journaling tools, and guided exploration features. The service is delivered digitally and is accessible immediately upon account creation. It is intended for personal self-reflection and growth and is not a substitute for professional psychological, medical, or career advice.
3. User Accounts
To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and to update it as necessary. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Purchases and Billing
The Ikigai Test offers a one-time purchase of $69.00 USD that grants permanent lifetime access to all features, including your full archetype report, archetype pairings, deeper assessments, Rhythm Builder, Foundation Course, private journal, and daily personalised insights. This is a single payment with no recurring charges.
5. Refund Policy
The Ikigai Test delivers personalized digital content immediately upon purchase. Your archetype report, dimension analysis, daily practices, and guided tools are generated and made fully accessible the moment your account is activated. Because this content is personalized, non-transferable, and delivered instantly, all sales are final. No refunds are available once your personalized content has been generated and delivered. This applies regardless of whether you have logged in, viewed your report, or used the tools. The act of purchase triggers immediate content generation and delivery. If you believe a charge was made in genuine error (duplicate charge, technical failure preventing any access), please contact us at hello@theikigaitest.com within 7 days. We will review legitimate billing errors in good faith. Dissatisfaction with results, change of mind, or failure to use the service after purchase do not constitute grounds for a refund.
6. Chargebacks and Disputes
We ask that you contact us at hello@theikigaitest.com to resolve any billing concern before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card issuer. We are responsive and fair. Filing a chargeback or dispute without first contacting us will result in immediate and permanent suspension of your account and loss of access to all content and data. We maintain comprehensive records of every transaction: account creation timestamps, content delivery confirmation, login history, tool usage logs, IP addresses, and device information. In the event of a dispute, we will submit this evidence to your card issuer. Chargebacks filed for services that were authorized, delivered, and accessible constitute friendly fraud and may be reported to fraud prevention networks. We reserve the right to pursue recovery of disputed amounts plus associated fees through appropriate channels.
7. Acknowledgement of Digital Service Delivery
By completing your purchase, you expressly acknowledge and agree that: (a) The Ikigai Test is a digital service that delivers personalized content immediately and automatically upon payment; (b) you consent to immediate delivery and waive any cooling-off period or right of withdrawal that might otherwise apply under consumer protection regulations, including but not limited to the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) Article 16(m); (c) your personalized report, archetype classification, daily practices, and guided journey content are generated specifically for you and cannot be returned, reversed, or un-delivered; (d) you understand that this acknowledgement constitutes a binding waiver of refund rights for digitally delivered personalized content.
8. Intellectual Property
All content, design, text, graphics, and other materials on The Ikigai Test application are the intellectual property of The Ikigai Test and are protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content on this application without our prior written consent. Your reflection data and personal insights remain yours.
9. User Conduct
You agree to use the application only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these terms. You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the application, interfere with its operation, or use it to transmit harmful or offensive content. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms.
10. Limitation of Liability
The Ikigai Test application and its content are provided on an 'as is' basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the application will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. In no event shall The Ikigai Test be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the application.
11. Changes to the Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the application at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the service.
12. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the application shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be subject to binding arbitration.
